The Northern Star Council Eagle Scout Scholarship program recognizes Scouts who have displayed extraordinary achievement in academics, athletics, Scouting, and overall service to their community.

In 2013, Northern Star Council units produced 738 Eagle Scouts. Of those, 86 seniors applied for this scholarship, and 25 were awarded the Northern Star Council Eagle Scout Scholarship.

Austin Swenson was selected for this honor and receives $1,000 to help in his college education, a certificate and a copy of Northern Star Council's History Book, "Honor Bright."

Austin was recognized along with other scholarship recipients on March 22, 2014 at the Northern Star Council Recognition Dinner at Base Camp.
